The HP SimpleSave 1TB External USB 2.0 Hard Drive (HPBAAD0010HBK-NHSN) does not list compatibility with Mac operating systems.

Since Hewlett-Packard does not test or support third-party products, so we cannot guarantee compatibility with Time Machine.

Most products sold on BestBuy.com and in our retail stores are primarily intended for use within the United States, so factory warranty coverage may not be available for this product in India. To be certain though I would encourage you to contact HP directly for additional warranty information.

Since the HP SimpleSave 1 TB External USB 2.0 Hard Drive is only a storage device, PCs on the network will not be able to "see" this drive connected to the router. You would need to connect the drive directly to a PC and share it over the network.

Unfortunately, since Hewlett-Packard does not test or support third-party products, I do not have information on using HP SimpleSave drives directly with a DVD player without using a PC.

I recommend contacting the DVD player manufacturer to determine compatibility with external USB storage devices.
