Yes; plug it in and IPhoto extracts the pictures off seamlessly. I hate having to find the stupid cord, so I just plug the Memory card directly into my Mac. Then, IPhoto and iMovie can import directly from the stick.

The following computer environment is recommended when using the supplied software,
“Music Transfer” or “PMB Portable” and importing images via a USB connection.
USB Connection: Mac OS X (v10.3 to v10.6)
Music Transfer/PMB Portable: Mac OS X (v10.4 to v10.6)

PMB is designed for use in a windows environment, if your mac supports windows it will function as noted above.

I would start with the Best Buy store. All the personnel in the stores seem to be very knowledgeable and they can even open a box and read the items that come with the camera to get you the actual Sony name. I have been very impressed with the wide range of Sony products they have on hand, so they may even have it. Otherwise many large malls now have a Sony store - and of course you could always go on line to the Sony website and order one. Good luck finding what you need.

The ISO is 3200, but on this sensor that is the size of a fingernail this will look awfully noisy.

You can reduce image blurring in dark locations or moving subjects by increasing ISO sensitivity (select a larger number).
The DSC-W350 has ISO3200 as the highest avail manual setting, and has a lowest manual setting of ISO80.

Question

Can this camera take close-up photos?

Some cameras have a "macro" setting that allows very close-up pictures to be taken. This camera doesn't seem to have a button for it...but will it take pictures of very close-up subjects anyway? How close can you get to a subject before it gets blurry?
