Netflix: yes or no?

Does this TV support streaming video from Netflix? Your advertising suggests that. Messages boards and the Netflix list of compatible devices suggests otherwise.

it does support netflix. You just need to make sure you update the firmware with a software update and then multiple updates to the app area before the netflix app will actually work

This TV absolutely supports streaming video from Netflix. You have to set up the Netflix app pre-loaded on your TV to talk to your existing Netflix account. This was one of the primary reasons we selected this television, and we've been happily watching Netflix since we made our purchase!

Samsung TVs do not offer netflix streaming directly to the TV, there is some kind of licensing issue that prevents this and thus doesn't allow you to download the netflix yahoo widget. I'm still streaming through my xbox until they fix this.

From the information I have, since the C670 offers Internet@TV, it should offer Netflix direct streaming.

Question

Internet connectable?

The specifications say that this TV is "internet connectable". I assumed this meant you can simply plug in a broadband internet signal. However, the specs also say this does not have an ethernet port. How can that be?

You need an adapter they sell at BB for $80. It plugs into a USB port and picks up your wireless router signal after you unsecure the router.

I'm sorry for the confusion. The LN40C670 should in fact offer an ethernet port that allows you to connect to a home network to access an internet connection for the Samsung Apps, Allshare and ConnectShare (DLNA). You can also use the Samsung Linkstick to connect to a wireless home network.

Although a headphone jack is not available on this unit, all of the Samsung LCD TVs do offer a red/white audio output connection that can be used for your external headphone receiver.

As a matter of fact, the Samsung Internet@TV units will offer an application called Rovi, which seems to allow for the use of an internet connectible programing guide.

The LN40C670 is a fully capable 120Hz set and offers the Auto Motion Plus feature that enhances said 120Hz image. This set will always upscale your 60Hz signal to 120Hz, regardless of any settings you may have active. However, in order to receive the full 120Hz benefit (judder and blur reduction, and frame interpolation), you will need to have Auto Motion Plus active. The reason you are seeing the 60Hz in the info box is because the info box only displays the signal’s actual Hz and screen resolution and not the info of the picture on the screen after the TV processes it. Meaning that the 60Hz you are seeing is the signals actual Hz and not the screen’s Hz. Currently there is no way to display the screen’s Hz in the info box.

Yes, it does have a RJ-45 network connector on it if you want to run a "cabled" network connection to the TV. You will actually have better performance with a cabled connection versus a wireless, but most people don't want to go through effort to run a cabled connection from where their network router is to their TV. Maybe you are lucky and they are in the same area.

There is no need for adapters or USB dongles when connecting the LN40C670 to a wired router. The LN40C670 actually has a ethernet (Lan) port along the rear of the TV, located adjacent to all the other inputs and outputs.

Yes it does. If in a bright room, it will reflect light. Better to go with the LED model which is a muted panel that does not reflect the image as much.
