it does support netflix. You just need to make sure you update the firmware with a software update and then multiple updates to the app area before the netflix app will actually work

This TV absolutely supports streaming video from Netflix. You have to set up the Netflix app pre-loaded on your TV to talk to your existing Netflix account. This was one of the primary reasons we selected this television, and we've been happily watching Netflix since we made our purchase!

Samsung TVs do not offer netflix streaming directly to the TV, there is some kind of licensing issue that prevents this and thus doesn't allow you to download the netflix yahoo widget. I'm still streaming through my xbox until they fix this.

From the information I have, since the C670 offers Internet@TV, it should offer Netflix direct streaming.

Question

Internet connectable?

The specifications say that this TV is "internet connectable". I assumed this meant you can simply plug in a broadband internet signal. However, the specs also say this does not have an ethernet port. How can that be?

You need an adapter they sell at BB for $80. It plugs into a USB port and picks up your wireless router signal after you unsecure the router.

I'm sorry for the confusion. The LN40C670 should in fact offer an ethernet port that allows you to connect to a home network to access an internet connection for the Samsung Apps, Allshare and ConnectShare (DLNA). You can also use the Samsung Linkstick to connect to a wireless home network.

Question

The refresh rate always displays at 60 even though this TV is capable of 120 Hz. Why?

Is there a way to set the refresh rate to 120 Hz which this tv is supposed to be capable of. I have satellite tv through DirectTV and everytime a channel comes on the TV displays 1080 p and 60 Hz and I can occasionally see blurring with faster scenes. How do I utilize the 120 Hz refresh rate?

Thanks.

I called Samsung about the same issue. I own the TV also. They told me that the signal comes in at 60Hz. The TV automatically up-converts it to 120Hz. There is options in the menu to set the 120Hz to smooth, auto, or your own settings. I have not noticed any blurring. Do you have HD? It might be your direct TV... I have Dishnetwork! ;)

answer 2
This Samsung TV is a fully capable 120Hz set and offers the Auto Motion Plus feature that enhances said 120Hz image. This set will always upscale your 60Hz signal to 120Hz, regardless of any settings you may have active. However, in order to receive the full 120Hz benefit (judder and blur reduction, and frame interpolation), you will need to have Auto motion Plus active. The reason you are seeing the 60Hz in the info box is because the info box only displays the signal’s actual Hz and screen resolution and not the info of the picture on the screen after the TV processes it. Meaning that the 60Hz you are seeing is the signals actual Hz and not the screen’s Hz. Currently there is no way to display the screen’s Hz in the info box.

Yes it does. If in a bright room, it will reflect light. Better to go with the LED model which is a muted panel that does not reflect the image as much.

As a matter of fact, the LN40C670 does have sound leveling. If you head into the TV’s menu, then under the “Sound” sub-menu, you will see the option “Auto Volume”. Clicking on this option will allow you to toggle the feature on or off.
