I bought a 46LD550 yesterday and tried out a regular USB wireless receiver. My TV won't recognize the device and I don't receive internet through it on the TV, so I would assume that it will only work with LG's special wireless adapter.

Yes, I use this this adapter to connect my LG HDTV to my wireless router that is located on the other side of the house. It should work for you also as long as the signal is strong enough. If your signal isn't that strong, do an internet search for "EZ-12 Template." It's a neat little antenna modification made from construction paper and aluminum foil that can seriously increase the signal strength of your wireless network.

I was told at the Best Buy store that you have to use the Panisonic adapter for the Panisonic Blue Ray. Same goes for the LG adapter for the LG product. There are cheaper wireless adapters out there, but I'd try to get the same model adapter.

Don't know....cat 5 cable was used....However ,today I tried installing LG wireless adapter and it worked like a charm......I don't know why the tech installer had a problem.....he gave up on trying to get it to work on the set and installed a cat five cable on LG Blu Ray theatre system....Knowledge? I will recommend the lg adapter to work on LG LE5400 tv sets.....Next time I will check things out myself before someone tells me something won't work nogo246.

Question

Will this (or Panasonic's wireless LAN adptr.) work with a networking Blue Ray player and an LG LE5300 (not the 5400)?

The product description says "is compatible with select LG HDTV's" and I'm wondering if I should have bought the 5400, which comes broadband ready. Thank you so much for any feedback.
