There are absolutely no problems with sweating on your headphones. I use my headphones six times a week without issue. The only problem sometimes is that they hold the water inside your ear. It sometimes feels as though you're swimming.
They are descent with sweat. If you're worried, do like me and just pay the extra $20 for protection. At least you'll be covered from other things that can go wrong.
The Bose IE2 headphones are designed to withstand everyday use by having a strong reliable construction and a stable comfortable fit. While most headphones would not be completely waterproof, the Bose IE2 headphones are highly resistant to moisture, and have been designed with active users in mind. Thank you for the question!
The Bose IE2 are designed for music-listening only. We offer two different types of mobile headphones, MIE2 and MIE2i. The MIE2 features an inline microphone and is compatible with most cell phones. The MIE2i is only compatible with select Apple products. This set does include a volume control on the cord, in addition to a microphone button. We hope that answers your question!
Limited lifetime, but if you buy the 15$ warranty at bestbuy, its worth it. I worked for bestbuy for 2 years, I ended up buying the warranty on any item of value to me, laptops, desktops, tv and these headphone, bby warranty covers alot
they don't, The Bose are over rated big time. The Klipsch sound better, reduce noise better. The only thing they need to improve is the cord noise, it is bad REAL BAD. The Sony MDR-EX310LP are better than both
We believe our IE2 Audio Headphones provide an audio performance that is unmatched by conventional ear buds. It delivers richer, full-range audio and a comfortable, stable ear tip for long-term wear for hours of audio enjoyment.
I'm debating on purchasing some ear-bud headphones that have quality clear sounds along with decent bass. Are these comparable to drebeats or other products that noise-cancel and provide that low bass?
The bass is awesome! If you're focused on buying earbuds based on that alone then you have found the right pair of earbuds. I think that the IE2 are more focused on bass though, so some of the subtle sounds in the music will be less discernible. I notice that drum snares and overall treble sounds are hard to hear.
I just purchased the IE2's. My wife has the Monster Beats in ear bud headphones. By far, the Monster Beats has definately more bass and overall sounds better. the only advantage to the IE2's over the Monster is that it fits better in your ears and is more comfortable over long periods of time. They also stay in better.
not fully noise cancelling and only the amount of bass that was recorded in the song, if you boost it with an EQ they will sound more like dre, but overall these provide more natural sound rather than beefed up bass and super isolated sound. I prefer the bose, my gf prefers the beats.
No These do not compare to Beats head phones. My son as those and the bass is unbelievable. I do no believe these headphones are made for that purpose. The quality of sound is excellent and they have a nice sounding bass but it's not that big sound that the dre beats has. these headphones are not sound isolating headphones at all and it says so on the package. They are just a great pair of comfortable headphones that have the excellent sound and quality that is standard with BOSE products!
Bose in-ear headphones reproduce music with more range and realism than most typical earbuds. A modified port design, in concert with our proprietary TriPort acoustic headphone structure results in a richer audio performance. You'll hear natural-sounding lows, musical clarity—even at louder volumes—and an overall presence you'd expect from much larger headphones. We encourage you to try them for yourself and judge with your own ears.
Yes! I use these headphones everyday in my iPod for several hours a day. These are the best headphones I have ever owned. Absolutely no complaints and very durable.
Yes, these can be used with any device with standard 3.5mm headphone jack, including PC, iPod, iPhone, Android phones, MP3 players and just about everything else.
I have a hard time getting earbuds to stay in because they are too big (even the smaller silicone parts). With the StayHear technology, will they stay secure during runs?
Most likely they will stay in, I first used the medium buds with the bose and they fit so tight it was hard to get them in and out, but they were super secure. I tried the small size and was surprised by how comfortable they were--I wear them for 8hrs straight. The secure fit was nearly the same with the two different sizes.
You have to twist these when you put them in, so up and down; and side to side bouncing does not loosen them. These are the first headphones I have used while running and doing other active dynamic motion things that don't loosen up over time and don't need to be adjusted.
Yes, they even stay in if you wear them to sleep! The little nylon gizmo keeps the 'bud secure in your ear during even strenuous activity, running, or exercising.
Yes they are perfect for running. That was the only reason I bought them as well and I have really been happy with them. Have not had any problems with them falling out. I also suggested them to a friend of mine and she completely agrees about using them during workouts - totally hassle free!
The design of the Bose StayHear tip used in the Bose IE2 Headphones was designed for a more stable fit without compromising comfort. The shape of the StayHear tips includes an extended flexible wing that sits in the bowl of your ear. They use the ridge of your ear for support and provide significantly improved stability. This design gives you the confidence and peace of mind that the headphones will stay in place even while exercising.
I'm not talking about a monsoon, but I do enjoy running in the rain, and if I choose to go on a five mile run in the rain, I would like to know if these will hold up. Thanks.
saran wrap the all parts outside of your ear and you should be fine. The inner speaker would be fine, but the one further out and the one on the outside worry me.
Bose® IE2 audio headphones are not specifically designed to be waterproof or used in highly wet conditions. If water enters into the headphones, there may be damage to the internal components. However, surface exposure to rain or snow should not result in any damage to the headphones.
I think you can run in the rain with these, but please note- if water gets past the buds and into your ear it will get a little annoying. I have run during a few rain showers and had no trouble with them since, maybe I got lucky.
I would say, yes. I use them while working on a customer's car. Bending, looking under the dash, while under the car, and more. I also use them when exercising.
I know they are not made for noise cancellation but I need them to block out drums just so the drums don't hurt my ears but I also need to hear the music through them.. would they work for that? if not .do you have any suggestions for in ear headphones that would work?
I believe they would work for the purpose you are describing. I use them while riding a scooter to listen to podcasts, and I can hear and understand the talking better than any earbud, noise cancelling headphones I have owned over the noise from wind and the motor of my scooter.
Because of the way these headphones sit in the bowl of your ear, they would not be well-suited to use as headphones for music monitoring. The Bose IE2 headphones are designed to be lightweight and comfortable but not to reduce outside noise. For noise-cancelling headphones, you would want to try our Quiet Comfort 15 or Quiet Comfort 3 headphones. These headphones actively monitor and cancel out lower frequencies to assure that you can hear your music more clearly and with better detail. Thank you for the question!
