I am interested in purchasing a computer to run several simulators (not at once) as well as Microsoft office. I also want to be able to hook it up to a projector.
The tap 21 does not come with a cd and or DVD drive. You can buy an external drive for about 20 bucks. It does have two USB connections and an HDMI connection so depending on your projector connecting should be pretty simple. I have used this quite a bit as a large tablet, and because of the touch screen it is really fun to use.
No, it does not come with a CD drive. You would have to add an external one. There are USB ports (2) and an HDMI, so theoretically yes, if your projector supports USB or HDMI. Yes, you can carry it like a very large and somewhat heavy tablet.
It does not have a CD drive, although I was able to purchase an inexpensive portable CD drive that hooks up by USB port. I don't know about the projector, but you can use the screen as a large tablet. I have installed Microsoft Office on it, although I haven't used it much yet.
You can connect the SVT21215CXB to a projector that has an HDMI input. However this device cannot be carried like a tablet its 21 inch and weighs 8.60 lbs.
I do not see anywhere externally where you could access the battery. You can adjust the tilt angle from almost straight up and down (slight angle) to laying flat and all points in between
Sony is a global corporation. We have plants around the world. Now these products maybe assembled or made in a different country but the quality of standard remains the same. These items are all genuine Sony products with original Sony parts. The technology is the same for all of them.
This looks like the AOI version of a laptop, but it doesn't have the average time it takes the battery to discharge. Can someone with this device elaborate?
the tap 20 you could upgrade the hard drive on your own to a ssd. heard you cant so this with the tap 21 because there 's no way to access the hard drive compartment. what's the for-sure truth? also, are you able to upgrade the RAM on your own?
not unless you try to take the case off. Pretty sure that would void any warranty, but if you are technical enough to try it then it probably doesn't matter much.
This particular unit (SVT21215CXB) comes with a 750GB hard drive but the hard drive is not "user" replaceable. We recommend that a certified Sony technician perform this upgrade.
