Will this work with a Sharp Aquos LC-40LE830U TV with Netflix ready wireless, that we want to connect to a Charter cable Motorola modem? The Aquos says it connects to our older Linksys wireless router, but still will not access internet and we are thinking of upgrading.
The modem has a blue recepticle for the router and the yellow cable will not fit in it. is there another cable available or do I need a different modum?
The setup will require more effort than the super easy software but the product will work fine. You'll just to set up the SSID and password from the IP
The Belkin N300 router itself will work with Linux. The setup software however will only work with a Windows PC or Mac. The router can be configured using a web browser.
Depends on the side of the house your router is on and what side of the house you're on. Opposite ends don't usually work out that well if its a large house. I get to my mailbox about 40 feet in front of the house fine from a side wall so its pretty nice
I need to create a wireless network with at least two access points to serve an outdoor pool area. We would like to make the access as simple as possible for our patrons to use, but still maintain security. What is the easiest way to do this?
The Belkin N300 can be set to access point mode and then connected via ethernet cable to a main router. The access point can have security set up on it for secure access.
I followed the directions on the box and plugged in my router. I looked on my laptop to see if it recognized the signal from the router and it showed that it had recognized it but the internet connection was still not there. Also, my desktop won't connect to the internet while the router is connected, only when I'm solely using the modem. How do I get both of my computers connected to the internet using this wireless router?
You have to power cycle the modem first. And I don't mean unplug, replug back in. I mean unplug, wait 2 minutes or so for all the power to drain and all the lights to go off, then power it back on and plug in the router
