Probably one of the Yonguno flashes. Their quality is great for the cost. Or another sb700 for $330. Look for refurbished or used sb700s. But the yongunos are cheapby

Only buy an slave flash if you need to use both flashes. Otherwise, I believe you can use the 700 as one independently.by

A second flash is always a plus to just about any lighting situation. With the Nikon Flash system, you can actually adjust the flash output individually using commander mode. The remote slave triggers that are built in are very sensitive, so using your own channel will limit other sources from tripping your slave unitsby

I seldom find a need for an additional slave, since I use the D7000 body, which can act as a master on its own. With the SB700 I can usually get what I want using bounce flash or a good diffuser indoors. I'd try it by itself for a while, and see if you think you need an additional one or not.A used SB600 works pretty well as a slave. I happen to have one that I replaced with the SB700 and they work well together.

The SB-700 can be mounted onto the D3200 and operate as the built in flash. If wanting to trigger remote speedlights the SB-700 must be mounted in a commander mode to operate the remotes. To trigger the SB-700 and other remote speedlights, the SU-800 must be attached to the D3200.by

Hi There - I have a D3000 Nikon Camera that I got last year. When I take pictures outside, the pictures turn out beautiful! However, when I take pictures indoors (say at a bar, or at a Dance) the built-in flash seems to not work as necessary. Causing Swirls, and lines from different lighting fixtures around the room - Including making people appear "Transparent".My Question - Will this work with the Nikon D3000? and In a typical dark setting (I am a photographer for a friends company in which there is a dance in 2 weeks) I want the pictures to look sharp, will this help?

Yes this flash will work with a d3000. You may need to tweak your settings to get the swirls and ghosting to go away try bumping up your ISO level, adjusting your shutter speed, setting your f/stop to different settings until you get the best results. once you do find the best results, write down those settings and program one of your user presets so you always have them for lower lit areas. I find getting to the spot you'll be shooting a bit early for this setup will help you out a lot.by

The SB700 Speedlight is compatible with the D5100. If you wanted to use wireless flash, you would have to use the SB700 as your commander to command additional flash units, wirelessly. If you would only like to use the flash attached to the camera's hotshoe - it is an excellent flash unit. If this is the case, you, in addition, might want to check out the SB500 or the SB300. Both are available at Best Buy and both are compatible with the D5100.by
