That's a long haul. It's easy enough to tell though by testing the strength of your main wireless router using a cell phone as you get further away and closer to the barn. If you get less than half way to the barn and your already losing signal from your existing router then you'll probably not be able to extend it far enough by adding this to ' repeat' the signal farther.
I'm only able to go about 50 feet. Haven't really tried to go further. You could always try this, and return it in 10 days (I think) if it doesn't work. Double check the return policy just to be safe. Good luck!
We have 4 in house no issues the ones that are the same show same IP address for us the different ones show different but no issues For me all the Netgear items work together router etc hope this helps .
Probably not. Suggest you look at powerline networking. I use it for my TV and it's just like being hardwired. The Best Buy folks can help you with this.
We bought it because the layout of the house possibly created barriers for a computer down the hall to get a good connection to the internet. We feel this boosted the performance of the internet in the back of the house.
It’s creates a extension of your current WiFi... say your WiFi name is love2345 this will create one love2345_ext same password as your WiFi... however moving it may not work I keep mine in one place
This is compatible with all wireless protocols. Lag is dependent on a lot of variables. If the device is setup correctly you will get a full wireless signal to devices that are in range. The full wireless signal will only provide the bandwidth and speed available at the configured distance from your wireless router.
