Yes I do texting with it and it works, haven't tried email but thinking if it does text it shouold do email . Siri has trouible getting the words right some times but if you own an iPhone 4s you already know about the auto correct from hell and voice commands not going through right

Thanks for your question. You will need to put the BT2 headset into discoverable mode in order for it to appear in your new phone's Bluetooth menu. With the headset turned on, press and hold the call button for 5 seconds until the Bluetooth LED flashes slowly. Then, select the "Bose BT2" option in your phone's Bluetooth menu to pair them. This Bluetooth not only fits comfortable, with an app it also say the name first when a text comes in.there maybe be an app also available for callers name

The Edge announces the callers name when the phone number of the incoming call is stored in your contacts. However, when the incoming phone number is not in your contacts the headset announces "incoming call" only. The number is not announced.

I would say yes. Mine lasted a year after having soda dumped on it.

This headset is not made specifically to be resistant to moisture as our SoundSport headphones are. It should hold up perfectly fine during normal use and activities, but we do not recommend it for use with exercise or other environments which could expose it to excessive moisture.

Yup. You can only connect to 1 device at a time.

The Bluetooth Series 2 headset can be paired to multiple devices but can only be actively connected to one at a time. The headset features a multipoint mode that will allow you to answer an incoming call from another paired phone.
