I haven’t tried it yet, but according to the operating manual the Yamaha CD-C600 will play MP3 and WMA files from a usb mass storage device that use FAT16 or FAT32 format. The manual does stipulate that “some devices may not work properly even if they meet the requirements”. According to the manual, playback starts in order by date and time of creation of the files. Copyright-protected WMA (DRM) files cannot be played back. The maximum files on a USB are 32,767, consisting of a maximum of 256 folders with 512 files per folder.
