The only answer is to try it. With wi-fi coverage, everything is subjective. Things like how thick are the walls, what are they made of, are there pipes in it, how big is the tree, etc, all contribute to the signal degradation. The stronger unit you get, the more chance you have of getting a clear signal through. Remember just as important as how far the repeater signal will reach, is how close can you get the extender to the original wireless router. If the extender does not get a perfect signal from your original router, all you are doing is extending a poor signal further. Hope this helps
