Yes, the power is on. Yes, the volume is up. Yes, the blue light on the cord is lit up. Even so, my Windows 7 PC simply does not recognize it. I went into Control Panel >Sound >Manage Audio Devices >Recording. I see "FrontMic" but it thinks it's a Realtek product (my external speakers are Realtek) and it has a little red arrow in the circle beside the icon of a desktop microphone. Then I went through the device manager. It's there, but when I right-click on Properties, I get the error code "This device cannot start. (code 10). I can choose "search for drivers", and it does, but it searches and searches endlessly and finds nothing.
