No, unfortunately not and don't try to force it. The 2 is slightly thicker and this case is made to fit like a glove. It won't snap in properly. It looks like it will but don't do it. I have the regular iPad mini and I was so bummed when I tried to switch it.
I do not see how you can connect it. Its a plastic case after all. I do not think you can realistically protect any device from theft unless it strapped into some sort of box with an alarm,
No, this case doesn't have a security lock feature. I'm guessing you are thinking of the way you can use a security cable on a laptop. There are some options available online, just search for ipad security cable.
you have to charge the keyboard and ipad separately. there is no physical cable or connection between the two. the two connect via bluetooth and bluetooth does not have charging capabilities.
