Not sure about Xbox1...but it is compatible with my PS4 with very simple installation. I don’t see why it wouldn’t be the same for Xbox.

Yes, this drive will work perfectly with no issues. It will perform much faster too if your new laptop comes with a 3.0USB port. It also fully backwards compatible if it needs to be used on a 2.0USB port.

Sure but 1GB won't store very many and esp if you have any videos you want to save. Personally I use a 128GB thumb drive to save my pics and videos.
