Hearing surround sound through gaming system

Q:

This receiver has one HDMI port that will connect to my TV. I am also going to connect a PlayStation 4 to my TV as well. If I muted my tv, turn on the receiver and turn my Playstation on, will I be able to listen to the sound through this surround sound or will it only play through the tv speakers?

And put the blu-ray player on tv mode

Get an optical cable and hook up your surround sound to the TV by the optical cable. Turn your surround sound input to optical and you can play anything on you TV and it will play thru the surround sound

If your TV is compatible with the system Audio Return Channel (essentially two-way HDMI), then it should work. If it's older like mine and is not, you can connect with an optical cable to push sound from an external device thru the TV to the surround system.

hi please forgive my ignorance on this subject,but im looking for a dvd recorder can i do this with this equipment,at the moment i have just a straight dvd recorder and want another one but also like the idea of a home cinema experience can this be used for recording?

Yes. when you set up the system via blu-ray it will ask if you have wired or Wi-fi just choose the wifi choice and take it from there.

I just went to the wi-fi settings and my connected automatically to my wi-fi. I don't have a password on my wi-fi, because I live in the country, but it connected easily and right away.

You can probably go to the manufacturer's web site (Sony, RCA, etc.) and download the user guide/instruction manual. I've done that for electronics I've owned for a while and lost the manual for! Good luck.

Are the side speakers wall mountable? The speakers I will be replacing just mount on a single screw. Can you mount them on the wall?

Has anyone had any issues with the fm receiver radomly dropping stations and going to the fuzz as if the station went out?

Q:

Brand new jus got for Christmas already spoke to support and Samsung, jus called Best Buy and they now tell me I am past the return window by ten days! I am beyond upset!!!! I just set this up three days prior when the issue began. If I knew I only had this much time I surely would have returned it! Hubby paid over $300.00 for it, I use the fm all day while I work, then also while I sleep always have! AM SOOOO upset any help would sure be appreciated.

Make sure that the white antenna is properly secured into the back of the receiver. I would also play with the white cord (the antenna) and see if it is the connection. Good Luck
