No smart TV needed.. This remote isn't voice-activated, nor will it accept any voice commands/requests, since it doesn't include a built-in microphone.
If RCR theater movie projectors have the remote (IR remote), then you can program the hub for it. I have a unbranded projector with remote, and now it works with harmony hub.
It should work with anything that uses infrared and most things that use Bluetooth, as long as new keyboards can be paired. If the device isn't directly supported, you can always teach it using your old infrared remote.
Sorry, I don't have a Roku. Connected to spectrum cable box and Yamaha 4k tuner, all run by Alexa. Hardest part is keeping the optical line from falling out of plug on back of the 65" vizeo 4k. Poor plug design on TV.
Since the hub itself communicates with the devices, not the remote, it's nice that you can put the hub in a cabinet and close the door...still allowing the remote to do it's thing. Enjoy!
Is the Hub located where it can “see” the TV? The remote does NOT have IR and sends all commands through the Hub. Hub needs line of sight to the TV to work.
