You do need to have the PC display set to a supported resolution in order for the image to be displayed on the AQUOS. The list of supported resolutions may be found on page 45 of your owner's manual for units manufactured in 2013 and page 8-9 of your online Owner's Manual for 2014 Models. If your remote has a Manual button on it you have a 2014 unit.

Deanna, this television does come standard with the base/stand, so you should not have any problem placing it on the stand. You can also mount the television on your wall with any mount that support the vesa pattern 400mm x 400mm.

I do not see why it would not work in India. Make sure your AC input matches what the TV requires. Depending on your broadcasters you may not get HD but should get a picture.
