This appears to be a hit or miss subject for the Nintendo Switch. While some games support Mic Chat or in game chat using a microphone the issue lies with the Switch itself. It appears most headset with mics do work, albeit for a bit then later stop working on it all together. This headset does have separate Mic and Headset lines on the cord and in theory should work with any console using those plugs which all consoles and pc's have. I thing I've seen people doing when that happens is using their phone with discord in some fashion. But to directly answer your question the plugs on this headset are compatible for the Switch and it should work. You can respond if you have more questions.
that's up to the game not the headset.. I use the headset on a pc most games and I can choose to push a button to talk or not...but some games like star trek:bridge crew it automatic that you talk without holding a button.
Yes they are. But you have to have them plugged into the USB port. The cable is pretty long I’d say about 6-7 feet. But if your going to be sitting far then these are not the way to go.
Yes it doesn't matter what type of headphones you use to listen to different format types of music files BUT the device you're attempting to listen to them has to support it in software or drivers (codex packs ect). Try asking the manufacturer of your device you plan on listening to from if they support this file type natively. It should be noted that these headphones come with the 3.5mm headphone microphone independant jacks and have a USB dongle included that is necessary for the logitech software. If you are trying to listen to 5.1 surround sound FLAC music files on a newer iphone that does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack these will not work.
I can only speak for PC, but it just plugs straight into either a usb port (with the included adapter) or your headphone and mic ports. I believe you can also plug in the headphone plug into an xbox one controller, but I'm not sure if or how the mic works then.
