As long as the Ipod classic has Bluetooth on it, it should work. These speakers are displayed on the shelves at the Best Buy stores. They are also plugged in and working. You should take your Ipod Classic to store and try to connect via Bluetooth. That is what I did with my Ipod touch.
The RDHGTK37IP uses an 8-pin Lightning dock for compatible Apple iPod and iPhone models. You can try to connect an iPod classic using a 30 pin adapter but operation is not guaranteed to work.
