It is not a problem. I have 2 chests. Condensation will form a little. Just opening the door, or the surrounding ambient temperature can cause it. Ambient temperature is simply the temperature of the room around the chest. 78 degrees is the ideal ambient temperature (as noted in the instructions.) My chests stay between 55 - 58 depending on the ambient temperature with the chest temp. set at 54 degrees. I live in Florida. When we have a rare cold snap. the chest temp. will get to 54 degrees. With the outside temp. getting up to the 90' deg, my air cond struggles to maintain a range of 76 to 79 in my home, my chest will rise up to 58 -59.
I have not had condensation in a long time. But it wouldn't fill half a teacup when it happens. A dishrag will soak it up. My chests are 2 years running.
