I just purchased this unit today. It's 3am and the unit is preventing me from sleeping. It's way to loud for a bedroom and it does not cool off the room any better than the 5000 BTU that it replaced. I will be returning it to Best Buy later today.

I just purchased this AC. In my opinion, this unit is way too loud for a bedroom. I's OK on the lowest fan settings but during heat wave, with fan on high, it's not possible to sleep. Also I did not feel that this unit cools any better than my 6000 BTU Sharp which is 7 years old. Hope to return it w/out a restocking fee to BB.

This air conditioner runs at 52.5 decibels on the low end, which is equivalent to the sound of a coffee pot brewing, and 60.9 decibels on the high end which would sound similar to a normal conversation.

What is the product width and minimum window width for this product?

A previous question got this as a response-
The dimensions for this product are as follows: height is 12-1/2", width is 18-1/2", depth is 15-1/2".

However, on the website for the product, it says the window minimum is 23", with the product width as 22 7/8". So, which is the minimum width- 18 1/2" or 22 7/8"?

My window width is approximately 19".

NOTE: Top Rail and Side Panels at each side are offset to provide the proper pitch to the rear of (5/16”).

This is necessary for proper condensed water utilization and drainage.

If you are not using the Side Panels for any reason, this pitch to the rear must be maintained! (this line in the insulation guides makes me think it will work in 19 in just need to check that airflow on sides is not blocked)

We apologize for not giving the full answer to your question. The minimum window width for this product is 23", so unfortunately it will not fit properly in a 19" wide window.

where is the drain connection,dehumidifier not

i cant find anywhere to hook up a drain line, this product is described to be a dehumidifer ,and a drain connection

Thanks for your question! Please note that first and foremost, this unit is an air conditioner that cools the air in your room. As it cools the air it will also extract humidity from the air and drain it in the form of condensation. The window units are not designed to have an exterior drain connection. The condensation extracted from indoors will simply drip from the exterior of the unit.
