My 2x4 studs are flat againt by basment wall so I am not able to drill 3 inches in to the wood. Can I get shorter bolts. OR Drill throught the stud into the concrete and put the anchors in. Will this still hold in the wood
I would not recommend using shorter bolts, or attempting to use an alternative mounting method as it may not hold the weight of your TV, or be securely mounted.
I purchased this wall mount to use with a new Samsung 65" Smart tv, but neither set of brackets fit properly. The short ones are not long enough and the long ones are too long and won't tighten the bracket to the TV. The only questions posted with similar issues all reference Samsung TV's. Does anyone know if this bracket is not fully compatible with Samsung? Thanks.
You don't need any extra clearance on the sides but you do need about 2 inches on the top. And once the TV is in place you will need room on the botton to reach your hands behind the TV to release the locking releases (on my 46" they are about 3" up from the bottom).
