3500 sq foot rambler, full basement. To give you an idea of my layout - my router is in the basement on the far east side of the house and is a wood foundation. I have one satelite about 20 paces west in the basement on a wall that lies just in front of three bedrooms that meander more westerly The third satelite is situated in our laundry room on the main floor (nicely concealed) and approximatley - overhead to the downstairs unit. I've had the system installed for just 30 days, and so far so good. I have not had any connectivity issues, no lagging, no buffering even while running Netflix on two consoles, 2 iphones connected, and Remote office setup being used. We'll see how things go as time passes

What a disappointment... when you have to "trim" an ordinary english muffin to fit into this little "maker" you realize you bought the wrong machine. It works just fine, but its a bigger hassle trying to make it all fit than it is to cook eggs, and place between normal sized slices of bread, or an entire english muffin

I was really excited to recreate the battle of Endor... however the unit I purchased was defective out of tge box. The battery "lock" required the strength of Hercules to open and close so after an hour of trying NOT to break it, Inwas powered up and ready to fly... only the drifted back and left like it had already been hit with a blaster... i returned and exchanged for the X wing... PERFECT! steady fast and amazing fun! Get one now!

Is the orbi system compatible with the Canary Home Security system ??
I would bet that any wired or wirless system security setup would work just fine... on the back of the main router you have plenty of ports, and the signal strength I get even at the end of my 30 foot drive (on phone wifi) has bars all lit up - I did a perimeter check on my property and it not only serves entire interior, but whole property as well - good luck!

How many feet apart should a satellite be from the router? For best results?
What I've found to be the best way is to rely on the instructions. you essentially walk out away form the main router, and the top of the unit will turn a color to let you know it's met its end range for best transmission... I'd say you have about a 10 ft X 10 ft space after that notification to find a home for it... repeat for second satelite and you should be good to go.
