Why do both of my games have the same scratch?

I bought Grand Theft Auto V and Assassins Creed 3 on December 26 2014 I don't have the receipt and on the bottom of both games have a circle scratch that don't let the games work I could play them for five mins then it would freeze and start over Its so frustrating I spent good money on them both and they don't work is there any way I can return them and get a new one?

I don't have info on whether you will receive a return, but the circle scratch usually pops up when the console is jostled or dropped. (Never move your console with a game in it whether it's on or off by the way). If you haven't dropped it, moved it while it's playing, or pulled on the controller wire in a fit of frustration or excitement, the maybe there is something wrong with the disc scanner in your console.
