As Season 3 of this political drama opens, the affair between Olivia (Kerry Washington) and Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) threatens to become a full-blown scandal until Cyrus (Jeff Perry) and Olivia's team find a way to spin things. However, other major problems continue to surface, including the dangerous moves made by B613, which is run by Olivia's estranged father, Rowan (Joe Morton); and secrets surrounding the mysterious Operation Remington. Meanwhile, as the presidential election gets underway, Cyrus and Mellie (Bellamy Young) work on Fitz's reelection campaign; Olivia tries to help Congresswoman Josephine Marcus (Lisa Kudrow); and Cyrus attempts to plot the downfall of Vice President Sally Langston (Kate Burton).
