As we all know when buying anything Apple, you must buy 'the extras'. Since they have removed the jack port in iPhone 7 to make way for the wireless ear pieces, some of us still like the wired jack option. So we have to resort to buying adapters for our adapters, especially if we want to listen to audio while not losing a charge....just wish they weren't so expensive.

does this item have a female 3.55mm plug on one end and a usb on the other end?
One end is micro USB portion that goes into the charging port of the phone and the other end is the jack access for your headphones. Keep in mind with this product, you do lose the ability to charge your phone using that port when you are listening to your wired headphones. However, if you are looking to charge and listen simultaneously, this is a 3rd party product to check out - Belkin - Lightning Audio with Charge Adapter - White; Model: F8J198BTWHTSKU: 5710888.
