This is great for things like Pandora and playing music from your Amazon library by just asking Alexa. I also was able to get a thermostat that was compatible and can have Alexa change the temp by asking her to. Wemo devices are touch and go. Sometimes after a wemo firmware update they do not work. Also it could use a line out to hook up to a receiver like the dot does. Note it works with Spotify if you have a premium account only not the free one.

I am running 5.1 setup and want to have the Left Surround (rear) & Right Surround (Rear) not on the same unit so they will not have wires running to each other from one unit but rather each have their own kit. Will this work or is there interference?
There are 2 parts. You hook the main device up to the back of your receivers output for your rear speakers. So the rear right goes to the rear left on it and the right to the right. Then you bring the other device to the area you want the actual speakers and hook up the right an left accordingly. Its like a wireless bridge

I have this device and I have an iphone 6. I don't see how the model of the phone would have anything to do with it. If the app is in the app store it works. And usually that is based on the IOS not the phone

Is this more like a speaker for your music? What else does it do? I have a speaker but just want to know other features for this! Thanks
It is a speaker that will understand voice commands. No ability to hook up to anything else. There is a the Amazon Dot that will do that.
