The plugs back end is to narrow it doesn't close completely with audio quest wires. But has full contact with the wire because they have a needle inside the front end to slide in the wires without stripping. Still works great,except for the cosmetic gap.

AudioQuest's Flat Series speaker cable is built around a Semi-Solid Concentric design. While this is not as transparent as AudioQuest's Solid-Core Conductors, Semi-Solid wire is significantly more resolved than conventional stranded bundle wire.

Plugged it in and worked great for home theater, unfortunately if you're house is not grounded to today's method the fault light will come on. Don't worry old houses have a different ground method that works the same. You shouldn't return just because you're house is grounded differently.

While, thanks to HDMI, Toslink is not so often used to connect a DVD player to an A/V receiver, Toslink connectors are common on cable-boxes, TV sets, subwoofers, all sorts of products. And now, the 3.5 mm Mini Optical connector, also somewhat incorrectly known as Mini-Toslink, is everywhere from the 3.5 mm dual-purpose headphone jack on a Mac laptop, to inputs on some of the finest portables.

What is the difference between the DT 6.5R and the DI 6.5R? I understand that the DT's tweeter can be adjusted (I believe up to 15 degrees) to have it aim in the direction of the central seating. Does the Di serier have this capability?
The difference is the di 6.5r has more watt rms. And yes you can adjust the tweeter.

recently bought a Sony sound bar and Sony blu ray player. I’ve connected the sound bar to the tv with optical cable. I get sound from the tv just fine. With movies, voices are low. Can I use this to connect blu ray straight to sound bar for better sound?
Yes as long as the connections are the same also easy for wire purchasing.
