My favorite game for 2017. Easily in top 10. The open world is incredibly beautiful. There is so much to explore and the game lets your skill balance the pacing of the game. It is definitely one of my favorite gaming “experiences” of all time. The switch’s portability makes it even better. This is a must buy and the cloth map is a great touch.

First let me say, I love this game. However I think there was some hype factor involved in regards to the praise the game received. It’s a great mario game and there are tons of memorable moments, solid gameplay mechanics that fans expect, but honestly my biggest complaint was level design. The levels are interesting but felt too spread out or restrained by the enemy mechanics.
