We tried multiple wifi boosters that did not work more than a few days. We might initially have success, but quickly find that signal was terrible in parts of our home again. Our home isn't huge by any means. Finally talked to Geek Squad agent and when I described the issue, he explained it was probably a dead spot and this should alleviate it since it works using the existing wiring in the house to boost and continue the signal. We've been using for 2 mos now and no more wifi problems.

After purchasing different styles and models of this wifi extender, I was finally able to speak with Geek Squad member and reviewing my problem in my home, became clear I have a dead spot and this type of extender was not going to work for us. The unit that has extender to plug into current router and then an extender that communicates through your home electrical wiring is what has worked for us.
