Just when it looked like sensitive and sweet-natured radio producer Brad Whitaker (Will Ferrell) was making some headway in his hard-fought battle for the respect and affection of his wife~s (Linda Cardellini) kids from a previous marriage, their dad-confident and cut freewheeling man~s man Dusty Mayron (Mark Wahlberg)-decided to re-enter their lives.
