It was hard to follow up the greatness that was season 1, but season 2 does a good job. This time we look at the docks and the shipping industry and how it is related to the drug trade in the city.
David Simon's masterful social commentary went back to school, quite literally, in the fourth season, which focuses on Baltimore's crumbling education system. A relevant link to its first three seasons is supplied by Roland "Prez" Pryzbylewski (Jim True-Frost), who left the police department to become a teacher at Edward Tilghman Middle School, a hardscrabble institution on life support that services a low-income, drug-infested neighborhood. (Incidentally, Prez's career path is similar to one of the series' producers, Ed Burns). His eighth-grade math class includes a close-knit quartet of friends -- Randy Wagstaff (Maestro Harrell), Michael Lee (Tristan Wilds), Duquan "Dukie" Weems (Jermaine Crawford) and Namond Brice (Julito McCullum). The wisecracking Brice is ignominiously selected to be part of a university experiment studying at-risk kids, which counts a former police commander, Bunny Colvin (Robert Wisdom), as a consultant. Out on the corners, Marlo Stanfield (Jamie Hector) strengthens his grip on the city's West Side narcotics trade once dominated by the Barksdale gang, and with his cold-blooded lieutenants, Chris (Gbenga Akinnagbe) and Snoop (Felicia Pearson), devises an ingenious method to hide the collateral damage of his ascent from the law. This sleight-of-hand bedevils detectives Freamon (Clarke Peters), Greggs (Sonja Sohn) and Bunk (Wendell Pierce). The trio are flummoxed by the lack of victims that would surely coincide with Marlo's ever-widening domain, a savage power grab that also threatens the relative peace of the New Day Co-Op under East Side pooh-bah Proposition Joe (Robert F. Chew). Meanwhile, the Democratic primary in the city's mayoral campaign pits the entrenched African-American incumbent, Clarence Royce (Glynn Turman), against Councilman Tommy Carcetti (Aidan Gillen), a scrappy politico with a savvy campaign manager in Norman Wilson (Reg E. Cathey), but a long shot to become Charm City's first white chief executive in years.

The Wire is SO GREAT. Season 4 is all about the impact of the drug trade on the school system. So we see the kids in school, the admin and teachers, and the funding of the schools. So good, not the best season but top notch.
As Sookie continues to learn about her supernatural heritage in hopes that she may finally understand, a newly reincarnated Bill struggles to reconcile his former ways with a mysterious set of powers that appear to be both a blessing and a curse from the ancient vampire Lilith. Elsewhere, Louisiana Governor Truman Burrell enacts his plan to rid the vampires from his constituency, and the Stackhouse siblings prepare to confront their parents' killer.

It is another season in Bon Temps and the last season was odd so this is that transition into the last season. Bummer that it does not have the DVD to go with the Blu Ray and the online as the others used to include those.
The fourth season kicks off with Annie (Piper Perabo) and Auggie (Christopher Gorham) adjusting to their new romance and how it changes their working relationship. Annie also navigates an uneasy partnership with Henry Wilcox (Gregory Itzin), who gives her shocking information about Arthur (Peter Gallagher). Joan (Kari Matchett), forced to endure the fallout from the scandal involving Arthur, receives surprising news that complicates things further. Hill Harper joins the cast as Colombian station chief Calder Michaels.

This show is always good and this is another good season. Hopefully it will not overstay its welcome as that is always the problem for shows these days.

There is a reason is is one of the greatest shows ever on TV. Season 3 is the transition season but upon a 2nd viewing it was so much more and I am glad to watch it again. The only thing bad was the price, but they are on sale for like $20 so that is well worth it. Just get it on sale and you get one of the greatest shows ever!

They are a nice headphone that I like since they do not pop out of my ears as my others did all the time. The only down side is they are a bit odd to put on initially but once they are on they are just what I wanted.

The is a good reason as to why this was nominated for several awards and I am not sure I really need to say much about that. However, Best Buy has often been competitive with the new releases with other stores like Costco, but that seems to be changing with the first week sale price. So look around for it.

Hold On had been stuck in my head for months and I finally broke down and bought the CD. The whole disc is solid, but it is pretty short since it is under 40 min long.
