Old but still entertaining

Lots have been written about the movie since it came out over a decade ago. It's quirky and still makes me laugh and with the cheap price for BluRay quality now, I couldn't pass it up.

Nice upgrade over older Garmin

We have a 5 year old Garmin that has served us well but didn't have lifetime maps. We don't travel afar often but were finding new roads that the GPS didn't have on file so time for an upgrade. I picked this TomTom because of the combination of price (on sale) and features like lifetime maps. It is a step-up in size from the 4.3" Garmin and has the split screen for turnoffs which has already been useful. We also like that it displays current time and expected time of arrival which the Garmin didn't do. It takes a while to get used to the particulars of searching and saving destinations but seems fairly intuitive for the most part. The one thing I am concerned about is the integrated mounting system. The suction cup was the first thing to break on our Garmin but we just bought a whole new mounting system for that because it was separate from the GPS itself. Not sure how this can be repaired if that happens with the TomTom.

Can this GPS charge outside of car?

COuld you charge it home if the cigarette lighter in your car does not work?
Yes. You could connect to your computer or use any outlet if you have a USB adapter.
