The Lightning Digital A/V Adapter saved the day. The day of my Uncle's memorial service we discovered the DVDs with the slideshow were unusable. I quickly downloaded the original mp4 to my iPad, ran to Best Buy for the adapter, and had ZERO issues getting is set up and working within a minute. This list price is pretty high and it didn't appear to be any other options for converting iPad to HDMI, but Best Buy matched the price listed on their website and was a well spent $39.99.

Buy plenty. You're more likely to misplace this type of cable than have it go out on you. This particular stereo RCA-to-headphone jack cord is decent quality and a good length. I'm giving them 5-stars on the fact that they are VERY affordable and just as reliable as any other cable. I bought seven.

I assumed it was going to be junk because of it's cheap price -- but I only needed if for a long road trip. Turns out it was quite rugged, it secured nicely to the vent, the positioning swivel-joint was easy to tighten, and I'm now using it daily.

Will this 3.5 mm jack plug into any phone?
Most Likely. The 3.5 mm jack is a standard headphone jack which is also the most standard jack on cell phones. A couple of things to consider: First, the black plastic barrel behind the headphone jack is a very common size (11.5 mm diameter) -- but not "Ultra Slim" like some other cables. This MAY require you to remove the case of your phone if the jack doesn't go in all the way. Second, many of the new smart phones have removed the headphone jack and may require a special adapter (iPhone 7S/7S plus, Galaxy S8/S8 Edge, HTC 11, Lenovo Moto Z2, and other future models).
