This movie is pretty to look at, but isn't necessarily a smart movie. There are logic/historic gaps and certainly some plot holes, as well as an unneeded injection of modern morals into the plot line (i.e. some of the goings on at the parties and one relationship in particular with Max Vatan's (Brad Pitt) sister. This film isn't on the level of a "Casablanca" or English Patient" - don't ask too much of it and you won't be disappointed!
When mysterious spacecrafts touch down across the globe, an elite team - led by expert codebreaker Louise Banks (Amy Adams) - is brought together to investigate. As mankind teeters on the verge of global war, Banks and the team race against time for answers - and to find them, she will take a chance that could threaten her life, and quite possibly humanity.

This is a very good production, extremely well photographed, acting, score and special and creative effects are all top notch. This is "thinking man's Sci-Fi" and will open up some great avenues of post-viewing discussion. Get this one!

I'd give this movie 4.5 if I could. This is an M. Night Shyamalan movie, so it will carry that tone for those that are familiar with his work. Split is a psychological horror, which is set in the same universe as his earlier film Unbreakable.
The production was good and the acting was really notable in this movie, headed up by James McAvoy (Joaquin Phoenix was originally slated for the lead, but an agreement couldn't be reached - after watching I just couldn't imagine Joaquin pulling off the role like McAvoy).

Awwwwight let's do this review again.... This is a well done movie, which focuses on the more human aspect of the event rather than the environmental impact. I'd give it 4.5 stars but I can't!!!

I thought this was a pretty good flick and found it to be rather engaging. The filmmaking is top notch and I thought Emily Blunt was really quite good in this outing.

I thought this was an average movie. I wanted to like it a bit more but I guess I thought it was maybe a bit cliché or a maybe familiar territory here.

I thought this was a pretty good movie. I wasn't sure of the "motivation" for a major part of the story though (don't worry no spoilers here!!!) The visuals were nice and the acting was good as well.
