This vent is great however because my machine was in a very tight spot I couldn't use it and had to buy an adjustable thin slide and fabricate to make it fit my spot. As long as you have about a foot of space behind your machine this will work great but if you don't have more than 6 inches don't get this kind go for the flat adjustable slide they sell at Home Depot or lowes

This machine works fantastic & I bought the matching dryer. Both are fantastic and quiet and I can't see why anyone would spend another $200 on each machine when this is perfect and nice size. Who cares if it doesn't have the automatic softener add I don't use that stuff anyway and if I did I'd just lift the lid and put some in. I give it 5 STARS
