I ordered this dryer on November 18th, 2017. I was told the earliest delivery date was December 30th, 2017, so the wait was on.
My washer and dryer was delivered as promises and on time. I use my dryer a total of 3 times. On the second day of ownership and the 4th attempt at using my dryer is where everything went wrong.
I selected my drying options and pushed the start button. I heard the motor start and the drum did not move. I stopped the dryer and opened the door to make sure the drum would spin by hand and it did. So I closed the door and pressed start again, but this time, smoke began to bellow out from ever nook and cranny on this dryer. A horrible electrical burn smell filled my laundry room. I immediately stoped the machine and unplugged it. Smoke still came from the machine for about 15 minutes.
I then called geeksquad and was told the earliest exchange appointment was over a week away! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I am very hesitant about taking the exchange and having this happen again. I am so glad I was home when this happened. I can only imagine what would happen if I was not home. DO NOT BUY!
