The Place Beyond the Pines is a twisting crime drama that revolves around a bank robber and his family and a cop and his family, both of which seem to be tangled together by destiny. It's a beautifully directed movie, with stunning cinematography, and fantastic performances by it's actors. I recommend it to anyone who really loves the cinema.

This is the crown jewel of the British Dark comedy crown, standing above In Bruge and any other contender for the top spot. this is nearly a perfect movie for what it was made to be. 4.7/5 movie, and a must see for any fan of British Humor.

This movie is a darkly comedic treasure that is able, and does, go toe to toe with any of the Coen brothers movies like Fargo. this is a 4.5/5 movie for anyone that is a fan of good old fashioned dark humor.

What's great about it: the acting and the wacky characters are the highpoint.
What's not so great: It does meander a bit in the second act.
