The Dumbing Down of Star Trek

Star Trek was always the more cerebral of the two big science fiction franchises. There was always more characterization and life to the old Star Trek shows/movies.
This is the dumbing down of Star Trek. The script is downright awful and the entire (from cadet to Captain story) is beyond idiotic and not close to anything remotely sensible.
Except for Dr. McCoy - everyone else is bland and they do not really complement the original cast.
Average across the board.

This is a very average CD. It is better than The Brightest Void, but not much better. There are two stand out songs: Innocence and No Bitter End (but No Bitter End is also on Brightest Void) - so if you had purchased both - you get one good song. Demon in You is the absolute worse (non-cover) that Tarja has ever made - what a mistaken opportunity.
I would not recommend her last two CDs to anyone.

Not So Bright

I am a fan of Tarja's music and have everything that she has made - including all of the Nightwish music from when she was a member of the band.
This CD is the worse group of songs that she has ever made. One of the saddest things is that two are cover songs - and both sound dreadful; one is Paradise (which was better on Within Temptations CD); and most of the others are on Shadow Self. So if you purchased both CDs - you basically rebought most of the same music.
Terrible job from a singer that I feel has the greatest voice out there.
