Although expensive for an attachment, so was the mixer so I didn't find it unreasonable and I believe I bought it when there was some kind of discount which convinced me to buy it. I'll probably buy more attachments when they go on sale because they're useful but will be ok without if they don't.

I've had my eye on this for a while and I'm glad I finally purchased it. It's made baking easier and I've used it to whisk eggs for omelettes too. I only cook/bake off and on and I still find it useful and worth the money since I hope to have it for years to come.
