Worked immediately upon install, and transfer speed as promised (The spec 2.0 Gigabits is equivalent to about 240 MegaBytes/sec.) USB cable feeds a separate standing antenna assembly which is a better transceiver than a USB thumbdrive style adapter, provides more flexibility in placement of the antenna. and saves a PCI-e slot. One of the other pluses with this one is that the external antenna assembly is heavy enough to stand reliably on a flat surface, well built.
This Linksys WUSB6300 USB 3.0 adapter enables you to connect your computer to a wireless-AC network, so you can easily stream high-definition video and enjoy high-speed gaming. The WPA-TKIP, WPA2, and WEP protocols help keep data private.

The linksys AC1200 usb wireless worked fine 2 weeks, intermittent for another week, and completely failed after 3 weeks (confirmed by Linksys software/procedural diagnostics and Win 10 device manager). Could not determine source of intermittent fails till the device completely failed, since many things could cause dropout of the connection and network-related BSODs. So I am glad that once it was going bad, it failed quickly. Also, the diagnostic procedure and software feature was helpful. So they get 2 stars instead of 1.
With 5 isolated and filtered outlet banks and connectivity for cable boxes, LAN, telephones and DSL modems, this power conditioner ensures that your home theater system and other electronic components remain protected from voltage fluctuation.

For crucial systems, best protection for the money

I looked at a hundred power protection solutions at different sites, and Panamax appears to be the best capability for the money. I use the M5300 to protect two of three $8000 workstations for video, 3D/animation, and rendering- all with expensive cpus, gpus, and RAM. I studied the M5400 and its simple voltage regulation, and decided it wasn't worth the difference. Do not need it for speakers and home theatre, but for what I do it works fine. The current info, filtering and power stability is great, though I can't tell much of a difference for screen quality. Eventually I will use this box to protect my $4000 NAS rack, and will get three high end voltage-regulating surge protecting UPSs for the main workstations. The UPS I was using for two workstations failed in the middle of some involved work and I lost more than I would have with a surge protector shutdown. I have continuous backup so the more crucial thing than power recovery is to protect against power spikes, voltage out of range, and damage to data and components. This is the best protection for the money to protect expensive equipment. The only better protection is an expensive high end UPS for each workstation- a lot of money.
Protect a variety of sensitive computer and home theater components from power spikes and surges with this 8-outlet surge protector that features a 1650-joule rating and cable, satellite, antenna and telephone line protection.

I use this 8-outlet surge protector to protect 3 computer systems- laptop, repair station, and writing station. For $67 I am protecting about $1200 in equipment, and It is worth a little extra to have 1650 joule protection vs lower rated cheap units. The outlet positions are excellent for hooking up multiple systems. I haven't used the cable, RJ-45 or phone jack protection ports, but this product has what you need for any general surge protection. I looked at probably 50 different products before selecting this one and am certain I made the right choice. However, for protection of more critical workstations (video, storage, 3D animation in my case), you will need a power conditioner/UPS with wattage sufficient for the system(s) and that will be more expensive.

I bought EVGA 1000W GQ to replace the supermicro 900W PSU in a 7038A workstation running dual xeons, 40 cores, and dual GTX 1080Tis. Product data was confusing, but the 1000W GQ seemed good enough for 700W continuous. and did not find good pics of the GQ cable ports to know what I was getting. The price of $169 was represented as a 'sale price', but in fact is the list price of the lower end GQ model.
I eventually realized 1000W comes in 3 better and higher cost gold-series models- G1+ (same but modular, $200, 5yr warranty), G2 (more stable if you need SLI, 10year warranty), and G3 update of G2 also $230. Also is a 1000W-P2 (platinum rated, $280, 10yr warranty).
The GQ unit is not fully modular but does have 3 sata ports, 4 vga ports, 2 cpu ports, 1 PCi-e port. but no 3 or 4-pin fan ports, so you have to be innovative if you have water cooling and/or a lot of fans Still, the GQ does operate quietly and so far has handled full load on my dual xeon without freeze or crash.
In retrospect, should have got 1200W and platinum level as I am using it for long renders, video, 3D where it is most stable to operate about 50% power. For workstation, I would choose the more expensive platinum P2 model for greater power stability. For gamers, 1000-GQ will work OK up to 2 GPUs, even with dual cpu, and would choose the GQ over any other low-end model of competing brands. It is a good deal for the price, if you need a quick 1000W upgrade just to have that power level.
Up the ante on gaming video with this MSI Aero TX Radeon graphics card. It lets you record in-game video and control overclocking via Android or iOS devices, and it comes with 4GB of dedicated RAM for lag-free performance. This MSI Aero TX Radeon graphics card has solid capacitors for durability under full loads.
Can you tell me if this card will be compatible with a Dell XPS 8300? (2011 mfg date)
Should work in any PCI-e 3.0 x 8 or x16 slot, most computers 2012 or later
