I purchased these as my rear speakers for my 5.1 set up. Didn't make sense to spend a ton of money on speakers who's primary purpose is to provide surround sound affects. These fit the bill perfectly plus Polk has a solid reputation.

Exactly what I needed

Wanted to set up a tv on my deck to watch Tiger baseball in the evenings but didn't want another Directv box with a monthly rental fee. This was easy to set up and the picture is very good...... exceeded my expectations. Only downside is that you have to purchase the relay system in order to change the channels while outside. Fortunately I turn the tv on and keep it on the same channel which minimizes this inconvenience. A bit pricey but still a better option than renting yet another Directv receiver.
