Alexa and Siri Needed a Friend

I already have the Amazon Echo and my iPhone and iPad have Siri yet whenever I need an answer to a real question, they never seem to know the answer and I have to go to Google.com to find the answer. Now with the Google Home sitting on the shelf next to the Amazon Echo, I ask it the real questions and use the Echo to turn on the lights and adjust the thermostat. The Google Home has limited capabilities when it comes to external devices (it's only been around for a little over a month ago) but it's capabilities will increase as time goes on. It does let me ask for a video on YouTube and it sends it via my Chromecast to my TV. The other gals don't do that (for now). It's a great device and I like it's voice better than the other two ladies.

Better than the Theatrical Version

I pretty much only go to comic book, science fiction and summer blockbuster movies. I couldn't wait for Batman V. Superman and saw it opening day in Imax 3D. It looked good but I was disappointed as were many people. When it was released in it's extended edition, I started hearing about the extra scenes that were put back in. I bought the movie and enjoyed it more as some of the plot holes were filled in. It's not as bad as people say, but I still liked Captain America Civil War better (even though they both have similar plot lines).

This was a great deal

I needed to replace the CD/Radio headend in my hot tub. It was a marine radio with no bluetooth or aux in (or audio in behind the radio) and the radio was getting very weak signals. The only thing I was able to use it for was playing CDs. Recently, it kept ejecting the CDs upon inserting them and I would stand there pushing it back in 20 times until it would start playing. I decided to just replace the radio with this unit since it was on sale for $69 that day. It has Bluetooth, USB, Pandora, I Heart Radio and plays CDs with no trouble. After splicing and soldering the connections (since I couldn't find a connector from Auto to Marine) it works great, has great sound and I can pump anything I want through it.

The Best Ultra HD TV under $2000

I had been holding out for years for the perfect TV and this one has it all. 4K, HDR, up-converting to 4K, 3D, voice & gesture remote, built in apps including YouTube, Netflix, Amazon, Vudu, Google Play Movies & TV and LG Content Store with many more channels and games you can add. It even has a built in web browser, photo browser and DLNA. The only thing I don't like about it is the edge lighting that lights up the entire vertical panel when there is a bright object in a dark scene but if I opted to get a TV with real backlighting, it would have added an additional $500-$1000 so for now, I will live with it and in a few years who knows. I still think it's the best TV for the money.
