Didn't work for what I intended but has uses

I mounted my camera on a tripod and had hoped to have a seat at my table during a dinner but quickly found when using this remote, camera works in a fixed focus mode. Also only has a 15 foot range. My table was about 25 feet away. Ended up standing and shooting without the tripod. Remote has its uses but this was not one of them
