Pretty good movie

This movie had plenty of suspense and things that go bump in the night. Being on blu-ray didn't hurt either as it was in stunning picture quality and amazing sound that will knock your socks off. Especially when "they" come a knocking. The only thing that really put me off with this movie is the ending. I won't say what happens, but I will say that it didn't fit the situation at all and was a real let down. Other than that though, this movie isn't bad.
What's great about it: Plenty of suspense and fright
What's not so great: The ending was wack

Good, but not great

This movie was ok, but didn't really grab me. The cast wasn't as strong as I'd hoped and the storyline was a bit raw. The concept was cool, but a better situation could have been established for the "premonition" event. The event here was just too basic and didn't have any real action. You basically have to be in a laid back mood in order to enjoy this one.
What's great about it: Plenty of mystery
What's not so great: A bit of a slow starter

Great season

One more funny season for a funny show. This one has a few episodes that you can do without, but the good ones far more weigh out the bad. Add this one to your Family Guy collection.
What's great about it: Very funny episodes
What's not so great: some "filler" episodes in this one, but doesn't take away from the season

Since Futurama and The Simpsons were both created by cartoonist Matt Groening and share his frequently absurdist, often acerbic sense of humor, comparisons between the two series were inevitable, and while Futurama was often funnier than The Simpsons in the first two seasons it was on the air, it consistently lacked the emotional resonance of the earlier series -- it never seemed to engage the mind the same way it massaged the funny bone. Similarly, the second multi-DVD Futurama box set -- this one collecting the 19 episodes from the show's second season -- seems to be modeled on the superb packages Fox Home Entertainment created for the first two episodes of The Simpsons, but the results aren't quite as impressive. The material included on Futurama, Vol. 2 has been transferred to disc in its original full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1, the audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital Surround, and all the episodes look and sound terrific, with the images pin-sharp throughout and the sound crisp and cleanly defined. Along with the original English-language audio tracks, the discs include alternate dubbed versions in Spanish and French (also in Dolby Digital Surround), as well as optional subtitles in English, Spanish, and French. Like the Simpsons collections, Futurama, Vol. 2 is loaded with bonus material, but ironically this is where the set disappoints. Each episode here has an alternate commentary track, featuring Groening along with members of the show's writing staff, production team, and voice cast, but surprisingly often they don't have anything especially enlightening to say about the show, often getting bogged down in cryptic sci-fi references and inside jokes, and while fans might get a chuckle out of hearing them, their novelty wears out rather quickly. Deleted gags from most of the episodes are also included, though they tend to be brief and appear to have been scrapped for a good reason, and while the "animatic" for "Why Must I Be A Crustacean In Love?" is instructive for those interested in the show's production methods, it isn't especially entertaining on its own merits. Also, while the "international clips" are amusing enough, no one seems to have realized that while the versions in Italian and Portuguese are a novelty, the French and Spanish clips are redundant, since all 19 episodes can be viewed in those languages anyway. Also included is a gallery of production artwork and a key to the show's "alien alphabet," both of which are more interesting and useful than many of the set's more elaborate features. Fans of Futurama will certainly appreciate the care and technical skill that's gone into putting the show's second season on disc, but the additional bells and whistles ultimately don't add much value to the package.

This is one of the classic seasons for Futurama and has some of those funny episodes like Bender becoming a were-car, Zap destorying the DOOP headcourters, Bender selling his body, and more. Gots to add this one to your Futurama collection

Simply hilarious

I'd seen previews of this movie a few years back and heard that it was funny and all, but didn't really think it would be all that. I was pleasantly surprised though when I couldn't stop myself from laughing from beginning to end. This has to be one of the funniest teen movie spoofs that I've seen in years. If you need a good laugh, this will do you well.

The third volume of the beloved animated series Futurama comes to DVD from 20th Century Fox. Volume three contains 22 complete episodes on four discs, originally broadcast on FOX from 2001 to 2002. Each episode is presented with a standard full-frame transfer and Dolby Digital Surround Sound in English, Spanish, and French. Subtitles are available in English and Spanish and closed captions are also accessible. The box itself is pretty cool, with dual-sided character cutouts and two clear windows to see the inside sleeve artwork. Each disc is held in its own slim Nexpak plastic case. The bonus features start off with full-length audio commentary tracks for each and every episode. Each disc provides ample deleted scenes, storyboards, and still galleries. Disc four offers the most special features. A "How to Draw Characters" segment in the character art gallery creates Fry and Leela. Also, 3-D models show some rough-draft sequences. Animatics are included for "Anthology of Interest II" and alternate animation is provided for "Roswell That Ends Well." In addition, there are international clips featuring French, Italian, and Spanish language casts and a couple of Easter eggs. Overall, this is yet another highly recommended Futurama box set from 20th Century Fox in a series of fine releases.

This season is packed with classic episodes like the one where the crew travels back in time, Bender becomes the new Santa, the Star Trek episode, and more. Had me laughing from the first episode all the way to the last.

This is the funniest season yet with episodes like when Stewie and Brian get into the miltary, when Stewie fake marries Olivia, Peter is freaked out by his doctor, and so much more. If you're a fan of this series, this is a must have.

This movie had me dying from beginning to end. I had my reservations at first, but after everybody kept telling me how good it is I figured I'd give it a shot and I was very pleasantly surprised. The music from the old school mixed in with the crazy rides these guys go one is just too much. You have to get this movie.

With a new day comes a new leader for the sixth season, as Wayne Palmer (DB Woodside), brother of former president David Palmer, has taken the reins from the corrupt Charles Logan (Gregory Itzin). But President Palmer has little time to celebrate his election, as America faces yet another grave threat, this one from Islamic terrorist Abu Fayed (Adoni Maropis). By way of introduction, Fayed orders suicide bombings of 10 U.S. cities over a period of 11 weeks. But he's just getting warmed up-before Day 6 comes to a close, the threat goes nuclear. Trying to prevent further bloodshed, as always, is Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland). Out of the frying pan and into the fire, Jack is freed after months of torture in a Chinese prison, only to be handed over to Fayed in exchange for seemingly valuable intel. Tackling the day's dangers on the CTU front are new personnel additions Mike Doyle (Rick Schroder), who replaces the fallen Curtis Manning as director of field operations, and Agent Milo Pressman (Eric Balfour), who has a history of butting heads with his new boss. Day 6 also provides the first glimpse of Jack's blood relatives, his father Phillip (James Cromwell) and brother Graem (Paul McCrane). But it's far from a touching family reunion, as one of Jack's toughest challenges is determining where the other Bauers' loyalties lie. Several new faces make their way to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., including steely vice president Noah Daniels (Powers Boothe) and presidential advisers Reed Pollock (Chad Lowe) and Thomas Lennox (Peter MacNicol), each of whom has his own agenda. Making a surprise return later in the day are former president Logan, his ex-wife Martha (Jean Smart), and former Secret Service agent Aaron Pierce (Glenn Morshower), all of whom play brief but pivotal roles in the season's developments.

Broken, but not out

I've always been a hard core fan of this show since season 1 and it always gets better. For the first time Jack is truly a broken down man in the beginning, but serious situations gets him back on track and he's back to the Jack we've known from all the previous seasons. This season is packed with surprises, action, drama, and more (as you'd expect from 24), but it wasn't as good as season 5. Still though, this is a great season and definitely worth the money.
What's great about it: Another great season
What's not so great: Not as good as season 5

Glad the crew came back with a movie featuring the original cast. Still has all the great Futurama humor (although it's sometimes not as good as the actual series) and the animation is still at its best. The movie is just a bit, but other than that it's a good laugh generator especially if you're a Futurama fan.
What's great about it: Funny movie and the original cast is still there
What's not so great: it's a bit long and isn't as funny as the show

CAN'T GET PS3 TO WORK ON MY HUGHESNET INTERNET FOR GAMING

Unfortunately, the news won't be good for your situation. Hughesnet is a satellite ISP, which means that the signal has to travel all the way from earth to space and then back again. Because of this, there is a VERY noticeable lag time and you can't get "real-time online gaming". Basically, any game you try to play online on PS3, Xbox, or PC won't play correctly due to that lag time. If you're able to swich to a local ISP through DSL or cable high speed Internet, then you'll be good to go. Otherwise, with Hughesnet you're going to ge stuck with playing games offline. Sorry for the bad news.

Will Upconvert dvd player play blueray disk?

I have a visio 32 lcd hd 1080p tv and a upconvert dvd player. Will blue ray disk play on the player?
Unfortunately not. Upconvert DVD players can only upconvert regular DVDs to try and get close to HD quality resolution, but not 100%. For blu-ray discs playback, you'll need to buy a stand alone blu-ray player or Playstation 3. There's many stand alone blu-ray players for under $200 that play great nowa days. I recently purchased the Sony BDP-S360 blu-ray player on a really good sale and it plays both DVDs and blu-ray disc with no problems for well under $200.

should i get gh5 or lego rock band for my first game

I would definitely go with Guitar Hero 5 instead of Lego Rock Band. Even though Lego Rock Band isn't out yet, that whole line of Lego games just gets old fast. GH5 however is already out and has proven itself to be a very good game with high ratings all around. Don't forget that the Guitra Hero series also has a pretty good track record for fun downloadable content, which I can't say the same for those Lego games.
