Once upon a time, I had a 2012 MacBook Pro. I had gotten it used but it definitely was durable and became a part of my everyday life. After spending time on the Mac side, I got drawn back to Windows and traded the MacBook Pro in. Some time passed and came across a good deal on a used 2015 MacBook Pro I could not refuse. As an early review/early impression, it does feel lighter (no optical drive), less hard drive space (128GB now versus 500GB in the old one) but is faster (SSD now versus mechanical HDD then). I have not had much time with it yet, but so far I am falling back in love with a MacBook...Pro.

While picking up the MacBook Pro this Thule would house, it caught my eye instantly. In the short time I had it, it was splendid. It provided glove-tight protection, but due to being a bit of a backpack/sleeve collector of sorts, I had to return it due to realizing I had too many at home to begin with.

I am a tech/gadget freak at heart, and do a bit of gaming on the side. Which is why when I look at a console/tech purchase, I always look at it from more than one view/dimension. Case in point, when I bought an Xbox One before (1TB Advanced Warfare Edition) I was happy with it...until I somehow bricked my controller during updating it. After buying a second controller and days of researching to bring my dead controller back from the grave I was pretty peeved. Aside from other little quirks I had with it, that really was the last straw for me. I returned it and after time passed the Xbox One S came up. I figured I would give it another go, and this time I haven't been disappointed, especially with the upscaling, 2 TB capacity, and pairing it with my Sony 55 inch 4K TV I recently acquired has been an evolutionary experience.

You never really realize how important or how much you need a mouse pad...until you ACTUALLY need one. For my primary desktop I had become accustomed to just "rolling" (read: skimming) my mouse along my desk until one day I noticed a couple faint marks on the top of my desk. Without noticing, over time the laser from my mouse eventually left marks! I should have noticed sooner (and thank goodness it's a desk I simply picked up on sale at Walmart a while back...one of those cheap self-assemble ones). So getting this mouse pad for a few dollars wasn't bad at all.

In trying to find a good accessory for my recently-acquired laptop (a 17-inch monster that is my first "gaming" laptop) I had wanted to get something to help it stay cool and also offer something a little extra. I haven't been able to use it much but I do like it when I use it. I don't know if it's just me but I discovered a hole in the back for a lower plug for the fan so getting power from the wall would be a second option. However, mine didn't come with a plug. Maybe it was a fluke.

I had always been skeptical of Amazon tech products, and perhaps it is because I had been in the Apple ecosystem for a good bit of time. I actually bought an Apple TV a little while back and even though I love it, I'm fortunate that I have a good bit of media tied to my Apple ID/account because there wouldn't be much I could do with it otherwise. I was almost forced by a good friend to buy and try the Fire Stick, and after a couple days I wondered why I didn't pick one up sooner. Great Shredder, But Not Perfect

With a constant influx of a mixture of junk mail and slightly personal documentation that needed destroying, I wanted to be sure to find a good shredder that definitely also had a crosscut feature. The only issue I had with it was trying to shred a couple papers that had an envelope mixed in that had the plastic window on it. That window caused the shredder to stop temporarily so I had to flip the switch over to "reverse" and slowly pulled that troublesome envelope out.
