Best Buy sales clerk said that is what they recommend. Reading the installation instructions they reference standard rubber hoses. They are working well but are very long. I don't know enough to be able comment on potential of future problems. I guess I would recommend this item based on sales clerk's advice.

We'll deliver, install and make sure your new washing machine is working. We'll level your washer, plug it in and attach the hoses. Additional charges may apply if not up to local codes or requirements.

Not prepared for installation

The service was on time and did a great job connecting water and discharge hose. The discharge hose is located on the opposite side as utility sink and it did not reach the sink. Installer shrugged his shoulders saying "you have to buy an extension hose". This was not offered when I bought the washer.
Maybe the installer could carry some items with them .. I am sure that they have full schedule and can't think of every possible problem. So maybe the sales clerk should suggest the need for a hose extension?

This is my first high effiency washer so I had to learn about the differences lower water levels and faster spin cycles make. My first load had striking on dark clothes and they're were more wrinkly. Read the instruction throughly and made adjustments; Using the right detergent and settings I am getting the results promised. This item does not have all the settings and features as newer models and I am fine with that. I have not gotten utility bills but it is using less water so I hope to see the reflected in my bill. The price was excellent.
