This movie is undoubtedly an impressive work of science fiction. The acting is, of course, on point with academy award winners and nominees in fine form. McConaughey once again shows us how he can make the audience feel complex emotions with him. Overall, the story is fascinating. However, Nolan has outdone himself in making a plot so gloriously convoluted that many viewers are sure to throw in the towel. Those who are not afraid of a little relativity and talk of five dimensions, those who relish in the opportunity to grapple with the film's intellectual content, will be very pleased with what this effort has to offer and are sure to revisit the film time and again in hope of discovering something previously overlooked. While geared to scientific mind, Nolan offers sincere heartfelt material, wades in the ebb and flow of what the human mind can endure, and still manages to crack wise in the most delightful ways. All and all, this is an audacious and powerful cinematic experience that should not be foregone in fear of its complicated ambitions.
'Fight Club' pulls you in, challenges your prejudices, rocks your world and leaves you laughing (Rolling Stone). Brad Pitt (12 Monkeys, Seven), Edward Norton (Primal Fear, American History X) and Helena Bonham Carter (Mighty Aphrodite, a Room.

What's there to say. An obvious all-time favorite. Inspired storytelling powerfully acted. Of course, everyone will cite Heath Ledger who was beyond phenomenal, but the more I watch it the more captivated I am by Aaron Eckhart's performance. The delivery of his lines is just right for the development of the character, and some moments continue to give me goosebumps. All of this greatness begins with the story though, and Christopher Nolan was clearly making this movie to satisfy his own creative necessity, a hunger seeded by the vibrant source material.
This release contains every episode from the first season of True Detective, the HBO series starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson as two police detectives investigating the ritualistic murder of a woman, and uncovering a possibly conspiracy in the process. Meanwhile, their own personal lives are a wreck, often affecting how they do their job. Series creator Nic Pizzolatto wrote ever episode, and each was directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga.

I loved this series. The atmosphere is gritty and the dialogue is sharp. The show can be very philosophical and very bleak in that way, but I personally loved that. This is definitely one of the best things I've seen in a while.

James Gunn has assembled one of the most satisfying and thoroughly entertaining films I've seen this year. It really has everything. It changes from funny to exciting or heartfelt seamlessly. The characters are as bizarre as a Marvel movie has yet given us, but James Gunn manages to make every single one, not only likable, but relatable. The characters are wonderfully cast as well. Chris Pratt is very talented, and I'm very excited for his burgeoning film career. I won't get into all the other, but I particularly enjoyed Dave Bautista's delivery of some of the funniest lines in the movie. As malicious as Ronan is, I found myself getting chills during his scenes because of how good Lee Pace was in his performance. I haven't even gotten to the visuals yet. The detail that went into the set design of the Kyln, the Dark Aster, Knowhere, Xandar, Morag, etc. was incredible, and I love the lush color palette throughout this film. More than most Marvel movies, I would say this one is particularly appealing to all audiences (more so to younger audience than other marvel movies). As a last note, I have to say you gotta love how they worked in the 70's music with Tyler Bates' great score. It was such an essential part to the movie that it would feel empty if it weren't there. In short, I LOVE THIS MOVIE!

I bought this movie before I saw it because friends had highly recommended it, and I was not disappointed. Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt demonstrate their potent acting skills and have good chemistry on screen. They make use of the repetition premise with wit and humor and manage to steer clear of becoming monotonous, a very easy pit to fall in with a premise like this. The movie also makes great use of 3D, and it was worth the buy.

I bought this movie because it has great rewatch value. V is a vivid character with a very specific personality that has a certain theatricality and poetry to it. The story is compelling, and every actor plays his or her part with an inspiring conviction. The Wachowski's have great cinematic vision, and this is one of many of their movies that can be enjoyed time and time again.

The Best Buy exclusive edition of X-Men: Days of Future Past 3D is beautiful. The little extra packet of information cards are nothing really, but I like how the whole case is designed. Worth it!
The movie itself is undoubtedly among the best X-Men outings yet. The all-star cast and the ways they are utilized are powerful and elegant. Many of the characters have all developed in different ways since we've last seen them, and then you get to watch them evolve as the movie goes on. Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) has reached full flailing a**-kicking mode with some great action sequences that have that particular Mystique style to them. The disparity between Professor X's past and future selves is very interesting, and we get to experience him in such vulnerability and struggle as we have never previously seen. It's also great to see the shades emerge of Magneto's dark personality that Ian McKellen has so wonderfully portrayed. Who better to live up to the expectation than the incomparable Michael Fassbender.
Some of the most stunning and memorable sequences in the movie were brought to life by the carefree charm of Evan Peters' Quicksilver. Surprisingly, I was a little disappointed in James McAvoy's performance. He is still a great actor; I just thought a few of his choices of delivery for certain lines were odd and could have been better, but overall, he was still a great Professor X. I'm definitely starting to split hairs here so I'll stop myself from getting into every actor and character.
Or, maybe one more. I have to mention Hugh Jackman as Logan, the beloved Wolverine. He still has that same smirking, dismissive wit as always, but he has also matured with the guidance of Patrick Stewart's Professor X. Then when he goes back in time, everything is backwards; he is the mature one, and he must guide the young and troubled mutants. I absolutely loved the way they presented Wolverine in this movie.
The main takeaway from this review should be that I could go on and on about how many things there are to enjoy in this movie. I hope I didn't spoil anything for you that you would have liked to discern on your own, but I tried to keep it general with my comments which I think I've done. Either way, I can't have spoiled too much as it is bursting at the seams with all the things that we've come to love in the X-Men franchise. The scope of this movie was truly a very difficult undertaking, but somehow, they managed to make a thoroughly enjoyable and unique movie out of it (And make sure you stay 'till the credits end because you are in for a massively enticing post-credits teaser). I cannot wait for the next one. And all the powers! Ahh, the powers!
The PS4 is a graphical powerhouse, able to deliver massive game worlds with impressive clarity and detail. 8GB of RAM allows for serious multitasking potential, complementing the great apps and features that make up the PS4 experience. The PlayStation brand of consoles has an impressive history of delivering world-class exclusive games, and the trend is sure to continue with the PS4. The growing blockbuster catalog is backed by a library of free-to-play and indie games, giving you flexibility in how you pay and play. The PS4 also acts as a social hub, with several built-in features that take advantage of the social networks you're already using. The controller's Share button opens up a world of video sharing, with the option to stream your gameplay live or record it to edit and post later. PlayStation Vita owners will enjoy the connectivity that ties the two devices together, from Remote Play, which allows you to play your PS4 games on your Vita's screen over a local Wi-Fi network, to Cross-Buy, which allows you to purchase a game digitally only once and play it on both your PS4 and your Vita. All PS4 consoles will need a firmware update and must be connected to the Internet to complete the update. While your console will not always need to be connected to the Internet, a one-time connection is required for the update. Online multiplayer requires a paid PlayStation Plus membership. Some features require a broadband Internet connection; ISP fees apply. PS3 games, controllers and some accessories are not compatible with the PS4.

It was a very difficult choice for me to decide to switch from xbox to ps4, but I don't regret it at all. I love it for a bunch of different reasons. The graphics are incredible. Gaming on the PS4 is a lot of fun. I especially love watching 3D movies through my system. I love the feel of the controller and that the headset plugs right into the controller. That means I can plug my Shure studio monitor headphones into the controller and have an amazingly immersive movie watching experience. The controller does die fairly quickly though. Overall, the system delivers just what you need in a console.

This game is great all around. The story is interesting and fresh. The graphics are phenomenal, and the atmosphere and cinematography are nothing short of beautiful. Instead of sitting through loading screens, you watch as your dropship jets off into space or toward the surface of the planet (this is also in multiplayer except there is a fleet of spacecrafts flying together). Having missions on different planets is very cool. There are definitely some Halo undertones here, and I think they also got some inspiration from Star Wars as well. It does have a flavor of its own though. The multiplayer is similar to Halo but is much more rewarding because it contributes to your campaign. As you level up, new things become available such as bounties, weapons, game modes, and all sorts of things I have yet to reach. Overall, the game manages to keep you interested. I imagine I will be playing this for quite a while, and I would definitely recommend it. Among the hail of gunfire, Peter Dinklage's voice is also a warm and welcome companion. (There's also a soccer ball at the tower you can kick around, and my friend and I instigated a dance party there last night. Not even kidding a little.) Lots of fun to be had!
My Best Buy number: 3442558238
What's great about it: Multiplayer and Story Mode Integrated, Breathtaking Cinematography/Graphics, Innovative Gameplay Setup
What's not so great: What's not so great is that I don't have more time to play it.
