I've had this receiver since the holidays and so far it's performed very well. I'm using the ARC HDMI input to control the volume through the TV while the receiver is located in a closet. I'm having communication issues to set the correct input (Blue Ray, TV or Cable) but it could be my lack of setup knowledge. Once the correct input is set, the volume from my TV remote nicely controls the volume on the receiver. The reproduction of the sound is very good - comparable to my Devon receiver I retired to have the 4K transmission from my new Onkyo. I'm happy so far.

I needed to extend my wifi to the garage to control my sprinkler control. I simply had to plug the unit in a wall socket near the edge of the range of my original wifi and completed the online setup. I then set up my portable devices to accept both my main and extended wifi that now automatically switch to the stronger signal depending on where I am in the house. My wireless printer also is routed through either wifi. Cool!

Yes. It includes the hardware, the unit itself, hoses and the ice tray. The tricky part of the installation is you have to break the seal on the back panel to retrieve the water outlet. My installers had to come back twice after finally figuring this out.

My mom lives in a retirement building with 200 apartments. They offer free wi-fi thru out, but my mom's seems to sporadic . Is there any thing that will help her get a stronger signal without having to get to the building's router ?
So long as you have the password to the original wifi you should be able to set it up.

Are these universal to where they work on everything?
I need a optical digital audio cable for my panasonic SA-BTT 350 blu-ray dvd player and my Vizio M60 C3 TV, so will this type of cable work on my equipment?
Yes. Digital optical cables are standard across the industry - like HDMI cables.
